[ARCHIVED] Kinosoo Ridge kicks off 2022/23 ski season with new chairlift

December 15, 2022 — Kinosoo Ridge Resort’s 2022/2023 snow season officially gets underway tomorrow (Friday, December 16, 2022), with a new quad chairlift and a few required renovations.

The old Green Chair, which had shuttled skiers to the top of the hill for over 40 years, was officially shut down at the end of last season. Over the past spring and summer, contractors removed the triple chairlift and replaced it with a new, faster, quad chairlift for the safety and enjoyment of our visitors.

The project, which came in at just over $4.2 million was the largest in a series of upgrades at Kinosoo. Other upgrades include the Aerial Adventure Park which opened earlier this year and the recently completed renovations in the customer service and kitchen areas, which came in at $300,000. Members of M.D. Council were on hand for a tour of the renovations and to take the inaugural ride on the new chairlift December 15.

“It’s great to see these upgrades at Kinosoo Ridge,” said Reeve Barry Kalinski. “Our residents have a lot of fun out here and it brings in many visitors from across the province. We’re fortunate to have such a facility in our M.D.”
