The Municipal District of Bonnyville has scheduled the construction of the Sunset Beach Drainage Improvement project to begin on July 11, 2022.
Residents will see some crews along the walking path parallel to Range Road 463 as they prepare the High-Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) pipe for installation.
It is anticipated there will be a short detour needed for a portion of the walking path during the project. Detour signs will be put in place when and where required.
The Horizontal Directional Drill Bore is scheduled for the week of July 18 to 21, with some minor traffic disruptions expected.
The boring machine will be set up between lots 27 and 29 within the subdivision, with no through traffic during drilling operations. Alternate exits will need to be utilized. Once the new pipe has been installed, the rip & re-lay portion (cold mix) will be completed. There may be some minor grading, ditching, and culvert cleaning taking place at the same time.
