Brief Background
The story of Lynn Rob Strawberries began in 1988 with a single small patch of strawberries. Today, Lynn Rob Strawberries Market Garden is one of northeast Alberta's most popular stops for fresh fruits and vegetables, sprawling over 10 acres of fertile farmland. The farm is located 10 miles north of Bonnyville on Highway 41 and four miles west on Township Road 630. The Lynn Rob season begins in May with bedding plants, flowers and vegetables. In June, asparagus and honeyberries are ready to go to market.
Towards the end of the month, and into early July, Lynn Rob's five acres of strawberry plants begin to produce fruit and will cycle heavily throughout the summer months. Warm temperatures in August and September can bring yet another bountiful crop of day neutral or fall strawberries. Complimenting Lynn Rob's strawberry crop in July and August are the raspberries and Saskatoons.
